A Black future reimagined through episodic comic book covers
Featured in Lovecraft Country's in-season influencer artist collection, this social content seamlessly merges Afrofuturism with Lovecraftian pulp art, envisioning a narrative where characters seize control of their destinies. Collaborating with three talented Black illustrator-influencers—Taj Francis, El Cesart, and Salena Barnes—we commissioned them to craft distinct "cover" art for each episode, transforming the series into a visually captivating and thought-provoking experience. This case study explores the fusion of artistic styles and cultural influences in redefining storytelling visuals.

We created a ‘secret society’ for engaged fans to join and congregate via VR,
where they can interact and experience exclusive Lovecraft-related programming
in a virtual space.

Users with an Oculus Quest headset (and select influencers who receive them from us) and PC users can create an avatar, interact with fellow Lovecraft fans, and enjoy curated events based on the subject matter of that week’s episode.
